Newsletter to People Who Are Incarcerated

Two or three times per year, Restore Justice mails a newsletter to approximately 1,500 people who are incarcerated in Illinois prisons. These letters primarily contain information on criminal legal system-related legislation in Illinois. We provide updates on the status of bills as they make their way through the legislative process. 

Our newsletters also cover recent court decisions that may affect people who are incarcerated, and we research and provide information on new initiatives related to education, transfers, visitation, and other important aspects of the criminal legal and prison systems. Our goal is to be as honest and factual as possible; while we do not wish to diminish hope, we realize we must be truthful and transparent with our loved ones.
