Maoists hold Justice Court, free fellow captured maoist

Palamu, December 27 (ANI): Maoists in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Sunday organised their own court locally known as ‘Kangaroo Court’ and give freedom to two Maoists belonging to other group ‘Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad’ (JJP). Earlier in a gun battle between the banned Maoist outfit, Bharatiya Communist Party (BCP) and Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad, a Maoist commander belonging to JJP was killed and two Maoists from the same group were captured and taken away by the BCP. Members of BCP organised a people’s court to punish the two captured and in a rare judgment gave freedom and threatened them of dire consequences if they did not leave JJP permanently.

Handcuffed, dragged away through ice and snow and imprisoned just for wearing a hat? That’s a joke. That’s not possible. No cop is that foolish. But it is true. Peter Eyre was caged yesterday in Keene, New Hampshire for that very offense. Is it illegal to wear a hat in court? Tell that to the cop who wore his hat after Pete was arrested – and while court was actually in session. Say what you will, people who peacefully wear hats do not deserve the abuse meted out to Pete as seen in the above video. FreePete.org

Victory for Justice? Anti-drug ‘vigilante’ walks free as sentence overturned

A famous Russian anti-drug enforcer, who authorities wanted jailed for up to 12 years, has been sentenced to two and a half years probation. Yegor Bychkov tackled the drug problem in the Urals by forcing addicts into rehab. But his methods were slammed as inhumane, despite winning huge public support. Why does the new supreme court justice Kagan think it’s ok to ban free speech?

Kagan said Supreme Court Judge Roberts, if a book suggested to vote for a candidate for any office, the government should? To have the right to ban the book from the people. This does not violate freedom! First Amendment speech?
